I guess I can be considered an atypical English major, one who is already too far in obtaining her degree to change her major. When people ask me what classes I'm taking, how do they respond? It's just sad that some employers weed out prospective employees by major. I know many companies explicitly state what majors they want, therefore leaving the English majors in the dust!

I have long, fine hair (actually looks kind of like yours) and found the baking soda & apple cider vinegar worked pretty well together. It was so cool to get over those first few weeks and discover how wavy (and not frizzy) my hair was when I wasn't using shampoo. Unlike you, though, I wound up giving it up because of travel...I went into the Peace Corps and for a few months used shampoo bars (this: <a href="http://www.amazon.com/J-R-Liggetts-Old-Fashioned-Bar-Shampoo/dp/B001E12ELW" rel="nofollow">J.R. Liggett's Old-Fashioned Bar Shampoo), which I think are about the gentlest "shampoo" you can use. Didn't go so well with the balkan water, but I'm looking forward to experimenting with no poo when I'm back in the States in a few months.
